At Tommy John we pride ourselves on an exceptional, personal approach to customer experience within our stores and via our e-comm channels. To date, we've built four stores and successfully executed a number of pop-ups within the US. We are looking for a highly innovative to design and scale our customer-obsessed end-to-end Tommy John retail experience that continues to engage and facilitate personal connections among both new and loyal Tommy John customers.?

The ideal candidate will take their years of best-in-class retail and hospitality-led experience and apply an entrepreneurial approach to creating and scaling the next generation of experiential retail for Tommy John.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, develop and lead the Retail Operations team by defining team strategy and project plans to execute initiatives
  • Execute a Retail expansion strategy that will position Tommy John to address new customer and revenue growth opportunities head-on
  • Partner in the execution of real estate initiatives with the President including store opening, expansion, relocation and closing processes
  • Act as primary liaison between HQ departments and stores to ensure that all information is communicated in a timely, consistent and brand appropriate way
  • Drive channel strategy to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience
  • Plan and manage a multi-million-dollar budget, leveraging financial rigor to prioritize and allocate resources effectively
  • Partner with HQ Finance department to leverage efficiencies and expenses
  • Align with HR & Retail Operations team to support training tools and new hire onboarding process to enhance customer experience and increase store productivity
  • Oversee the hiring, recruiting, on-boarding, coaching, training, leading and retaining of all staff across all store locations
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop the retail marketing strategy, including an in-store event calendar
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure?seamless?and effective social media, email and promotional support for stores
  • Develop a network of appropriate agencies that can scale consistent, bar-raising store experiences in line with Tommy John's growth
  • Provide consistent feedback to Merchandising and identify areas of opportunity for new products as well as sharing the voice of the customer as received in store
  • Travel when necessary to Tommy John locations nationwide for openings, special events, training, new location scouting and whenever necessary to achieve goals
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent retail leadership experience
  • Courageous, discerning, mindful, curious, and devoted to the customer
  • 15+ years of retail and operational experience, specifically in retail field operations, workforce management and communications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
  • Proven leadership ability, as well as strength in building internal partnerships
  • Ability to think strategically and develop achievable long-term goals
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills to successfully implement strategic initiatives from concept through execution
  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, and presentation skills; including the ability to provide written and verbal direction effectively
  • A proven ability to define and inspire others to achieve corporate objectives and strategies
  • Strong ability to anticipate long term needs and develop plans with achievable timelines
  • A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach
