RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the efficient and profitable daily operations of assigned store The market, restaurant and all food service areas are clean, orderly and product fresh Scheduling & labor management are written to best serve the customers, reviewed weekly to ensure customer service and efficiency and written to meet labor and financial budgets Tracking of sales and margins (shorts, losses, returns, minimize store expenses) Looks for areas where improvements in service may be required; implements processes, procedures and/or changes to address these issues Executes pricing strategies to ensure profitability of store operations Develops and trains future leaders by preparing qualified and talented employees for advancement Manages department staff to include: interviewing, hiring, training and development, delivering on-time performance appraisals, providing feedback, scheduling, counseling and terminating Employee meetings are held regularly to ensure good communication, participation and incremental improvement of department operations Accountable for controllable expenses, cash management, merchandising, and loss prevention Responsible for staffing the store with friendly, customer oriented individuals who are qualified to meet customer needs and responsible for making sure employees are trained Ensures that all federal, state, and company regulations and standards for product freshness, food safety, weights and measures, store safety, employee safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and budget departments Responsible for dealing with emergencies, crises, and any problems that may arise during the day in the store Ensures a safe work environment and writes reports for accidents or other incidents such as when employees or customers are hurt within store premises Upholding Mothers values of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness for all aspects of the business Other duties as assigned
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
B.A. or B.S. preferred
*Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of store management experience
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Verbal proficiency of the English language, and be able to read and write at an advanced level
*Computer literacy (Word, Excel, and Outlook), excellent customer service skills and proficiency in basic math.
*Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff
*Model excellent customer service, and hold your staff accountable for doing the same
*Be able and prepared to cover breaks for other staff members when needed
*Place service calls, deal with vendors and contractors
*Must be professional at all times and remain calm under pressure
*Attend meetings at the corporate office
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
*Lift any and all items, usually over 100 times per day from 6 to 60
*Carry bags, boxes and loose product, usually less than 10 ft. max of 200 ft.
*Vision is required for reading instructions, billings, cash counting and help with display set up
*Push/pull carts and dollies on irregular basis
Special Requirements: Must be available to work various shifts as needed Must have reliable transportation Must successfully pass a background check
