Job Summary:

The Training Delivery Specialist V is responsible for delivering formal instructor-led (classroom, event and virtual) training, facilitating discussions to support the implementation of informal training solutions, and providing coaching and performance-based feedback to internal employees and/or external sales agents enabling them to perform the requirements of their roles while optimizing their time to competency. This includes the delivery and facilitation of learning solutions encompassing product, compliance; job-specific process knowledge; sales and customer retention skills; knowledge of how to use and navigate various systems, tools, websites, etc. that internal employees and/or external sales agents use daily on the job.

Essential Functions:

Focus will be on delivering high-touch training to internal sales team members and/or external General Agents (GAs) and/or Contracted General Agents (CGAs) in the Group Sales segment (e.g., business to business sales and retention), including Small Group, Mid Group, Large Group, Major/National Accounts, Public Sector Accounts and Corporate Accounts; also this role may provide facilitation support for external agent go-to-market launch events

With emphasis on new employee and/or agent onboarding, deliver and facilitate health and ancillary value proposition and product training for employer markets. Facilitate sales and retention skill-based training, as well as systems, tools, and employer market overview training in both an in person and virtual environment

With emphasis on existing employee and/or agent development, facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions on a variety of products, systems/tools, process and selling skills; supporting business processes

With emphasis on overall broker education, conduct needed education/training sessions to support employer markets

Based on working knowledge of performance objectives associated with multiple internal employee and/or external agent roles, and under guidance of a senior delivery specialist and/or training manager, provide coaching and feedback to management on progress of individual learners and groups, with respect to their ability to best apply knowledge, skills, tools and job processes

Operating independently, provide feedback to instructional design and development team members regarding learning solution content and skill adaptation enhancements aimed at increasing a learner's time to competency and overall performance

Partner with instructional system design and development team members to deliver pilot courses and provide feedback on instructional soundness of materials, including assessments

With guidance from learning leadership, recommend best practices in facilitation principles which support formal and informal solutions through in-person and/or virtual environments that consider available technology platforms

Perform administrative responsibilities, such as evaluations on course and delivery effectiveness, classroom surveys regarding set-up/upkeep/system images, and system performance & other duties as assigned

Required Work Experience:

3+ years related work experience in group sales

3+ years training delivery/facilitation experience in an in-person environment as well as virtual classroom facilitation

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree (training, education, human resources, business, or other related fields)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Seasoned written and verbal communication skills which includes demonstrated ability to facilitate training

Ability to address non-routine requests and/or solve non-routine business-related issues

Ability to complete multiple assignments in a compressed timeframe

Ability to work in a fluid environment where business and organizational direction changes occur frequently

Ability to interpret business related results into actionable items for individual growth and development

Ability to quickly develop business relationships

Ability to provide feedback to elevate the performance level of an individual or team

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of experience delivering training to sales audiences

5+ years of work experience in group health sales

Health sales top producer in group health sales

Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking)

Knowledge of Florida Blue health and ancillary value proposition, products, systems/tools and processes

215-license is preferred (note: individual is expected to actively pursue and obtain 215-license within 12-18 months of entering the role)

Industry recognized facilitator certification (i.e., ATD Certification, Achieve Global, etc.)

Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory & principles

Seasoned knowledge of Kirkpatrick and Phillips learning evaluation models with experience in knowledge proficiency and on the job transfer
