Our retail group operates destination, standalone retail real estate globally, including over 150 malls in the United States. Our regional shopping centers create a sense of place in the heart of the communities in which we do business: offering retail, lifestyle, dining and entertainment options.
**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Marketing this position is responsible for creating and executing an annual consumer facing marketing strategy for national and seasonal activations, with a special focus on supporting revenue driving programs in partnership with Business Development. The position will have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead, plan and execute annual, integrated and innovative strategic marketing programs that drive foot traffic and sales for the Company's seasonal experiences (Christmas and Easter Photo Operations).
+ Lead the creation and delivery of national marketing campaigns that position the company and its retail properties strongly in the market and drive awareness, engagement, mall traffic and increased sales during key shopping periods such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Back-to-School and Holiday.
+ Communicate effectively across all business functions including Asset Management, Development, Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications.
+ Implement the Companys hallmark revenue driving, consumer facing, seasonal marketing programs, Santa/Easter, in order to keep the properties relevant to consumers shopping habits during critical periods of the retail calendar while meeting or exceeding sales goals.
+ Manage seasonal photography vendor, sharing vendors successes & best practices across properties, holding vendor accountable to property expectations and standards, ensuring terms of contract are being met, managing crisis issues in real-time with a strong Crisis Communication plan, facilitating sales results for reporting purposes to senior leadership and annual review of partnership.
+ Support the Companys owned channels with creative and relevant seasonal and national marketing programs to drive conversion opportunities in email, web, SMS and social media, while monitoring consumer feedback for program optimization
+ Assist Director with all third-party vendors related to seasonal dcor in order to build relationships and maximize our financial investments. This includes managing capital budget spend, receiving estimates, reviewing renderings and mockups, meeting expectations and deadlines, supporting properties installation process all while soliciting feedback from mall teams, leadership and consumers.
+ Support mall teams seasonal dcor refurbishment and replacement requests.
+ Partner with internal groups to ensure launch, execution and ongoing support of best in class marketing at the property level, including managing, national campaigns and Santa/Easter marketing (owned, earned & paid) and any other marketing support to drive successful experiences at Brookfield Properties' centers.
+ Monitor competition, support ideation and Business Development with measured and scalable tests and pilots.
+ Manage marketing budget efficiently to ensure resources are fully utilized in the best manner.
+ Be an expert in project management, managing multiple vendors, estimates/budgets, QA/testing, meeting deadlines and showing impact of marketing efforts invested in projects.
+ Manage and optimize media buys in partnership with Media and Measurement team in order to deliver timely reports to leadership and partners.
+ Collaborate with Media and Measurement to identify the appropriate metrics, analytics and reports needed to gage performance.
+ Other duties assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelors degree in marketing or related field
+ 7+ years of experience with Retail Marketing, visual merchandising experience a plus
+ 7+ years of experience in project management
+ 2+ years of experience in Digital Marketing
+ 2+ years of management experience
+ Deep knowledge of shopping center/retail industry a plus
+ Must be able to skillfully tell stories in written, verbal and visual form
+ Experience in crisis communications and successfully navigating reputation threatening issues
+ Strong understanding of creative and design processes and the value of brand equity
+ Ability to develop and retain talent and help team members realize their potential and facilitate career paths throughout the organization
+ Strong collaborative attitude and the ability to balance the perspectives and requirements of multiple cross functional partners and external stakeholders in order to create alignment
+ Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to multitask while completing projects on-time, simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
+ Ability to rapidly digest and analyze data for reporting results and performance to stakeholder, providing recommendations on marketing programs, campaigns and strategies in a simple, understandable format
+ Strong creativity and forward-thinking mindset to see the big picture and long-term opportunities for the company
+ Ability to build long-term relationships both internally with cross functional teams and externally with vendors and business partners - highly approachable; relatable plus an ability to inspire
+ High level of professionalism and ability to interact and correspond with senior and retailer leadership
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and Mac
+ Experience with project management software a plus
