Purpose of Job:
The Regional Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing APCONâ€™s revenue and establishing new re-seller accounts in an assigned territory. Sales activities will include prospecting and qualifying business, demonstrating key advantages and negotiating the sale. This role will require working collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers to achieve customer satisfaction and revenue targets within your assigned territory.
Responsibilities:Identifies, cultivates, and procures new and existing channel business sales relationships within assigned regionAssumes ownership of the channel sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying business, demonstrating key advantages, negotiating, and closing of the saleCollaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define account strategy by highlighting APCON advantages and influencing technical decision makersDevelops and implements region-wide sales plans consistent with company visionBuilds and maintains customer relationships to ensure customer satisfactionMeets and/or exceeds sales objectives and quotaAttends trade shows and demonstrates products to booth customers
Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 5+ years outside channel sales experienceMinimum 5+ years selling direct to end customersExperience selling technology products that include hardware and software to data centers and large enterprisesExperience selling network switching products or analysis equipment highly preferredLocal account knowledge of the Fortune 1000 companiesProven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersProven ability to prioritize, balance, and self-manage multiple simultaneous projects and activitiesDemonstrated performance in prior roles with outstanding execution, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativityAbility to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Education:Bachelorâ€™s Degree and/or the equivalent experience
Travel: Frequently, up to 75%
Physical Demands: To perform the duties of this position, you must have the ability to occasionally sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push between 1-15 lbs.
